On International Women’s Day, Moneysworth would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the fantastic women who work in the UK financial services industry, especially the women that work for the insurance providers we use and for the firms that have introduced business to us in the past.

We would also like to thank the women who work in Moneysworth’s great team, and to acknowledge the massive contribution they have made towards ensuring we won the Platinum Service Award and the two Best Small Protection Intermediary Awards we scooped during the last six months.

In an industry where sadly only 16% of investment advisers and 26% of mortgage and protection advisers are women, we are proud to say that we have a higher proportion of female advisers than these industry averages. A female member of our team was the consultant who advised or arranged 50% of the policies we have organised in 2024 to date.

The Platinum award is based on customer feedback submitted via Feefo, where recent complimentary feedback for our female employees includes:

“Excellent Service. Professional, Helpful, Personal service. From my initial enquiry, Joanne provided reasonable options. She cheerfully and promptly answered all my queries – even though some unusual circumstances meant this process and the medical took months. When the final premium was increased, I asked that she review and she appealed to the Insurer and the premium was revised to the original. Highly commended also to Gemma – always professional and helpful. A relief to deal with real people; rather than the ubiquitous automated system. I am pleasantly surprised by such tenacity and service and will contact Joanne for any future insurance requirements.”

“Fantastic service. First contacted Moneysworth in 2022 to arrange life insurance with an underlying heart condition, after I’d been declined by a major provider. They were really informative, and talked through all the options available to best suit my family. They were then incredibly patient and professional when an unexpected health issue changed my circumstance. When I got back in touch in late 2023, they worked through several providers and managed to secure cover for me. A huge weight off my and my partner’s mind. Thanks so much to Jo and the wider team for persevering and all the help and advice.”

“Lyndsay and Gemma were very, very helpful. All informations were provided, they always kept me updated.”

“My experience with Moneysworth was exceptionally good. The staff were helpful and very professional. They managed to find the best deal for the Life insurance I requested for. The communication was good and they kept me updated from start till end. They found me a Life insurance that’s suitable for me and my family…Thank you Gemma and Lyndsay for all your help.”

Moneysworth is thrilled to have scooped two prestigious industry awards in the space of a month.

COVER Magazine’s Excellence Awards ceremony in early November saw us named as the winner in the Small Intermediary of the Year category, an award which is open to smaller companies that arrange life and health protection insurance.

At the same ceremony, we were also shortlisted for two more awards: Outstanding Client Engagement and Outstanding Specialist Intermediary.

This awards success is recognition of our fantastic advice offering and the first-class administrative support we provide all the way from initial enquiry to the point of completion. The judges have also acknowledged the quality of our specialist service where we assist applicants with medical conditions, as well as applicants who are non-UK residents, to obtain life insurance and other protection.

The success at the COVER awards comes just weeks after we landed the Health & Protection Award for Best Small Protection Advice Firm for the second year in succession. Although we have been successful at both of these ceremonies in the past, 2023 marks the first year when we have won an award from both of these organisations.

The COVER judges chose Moneysworth because of our “dedication to securing results for vulnerable clients and those that have struggled to secure cover elsewhere.”

When presenting the Health & Protection award, the judges praised Moneysworth for our commitment to handling “more complex cases and remarked that we had received “powerful testimonials” from satisfied clients.

We were also shortlisted in the Best Individual Advice Firm category at the Health & Protection ceremony. This award category was open to insurance brokers of all sizes.

Moneysworth director Tim Boddy commented:

“We are delighted to have won this year’s Cover Excellence Award for Small Protection Intermediary of the Year. It is a fantastic achievement and deserved recognition for our dedicated team, who work incredibly hard to ensure our clients receive good outcomes from insurers. This year we also won the same accolade at the Health & Protection Awards, so for the industry to honour us twice in this way really reinforces the feeling that we are getting things right!”

No client circumstances are too complex for Moneysworth and we regularly assist clients with serious medical conditions to obtain the insurance they require. We can also source appropriate life cover for clients who reside outside of the UK.

The industry experts at both awards have recognised that we offer the highest levels of advice and customer service, so if you are a consumer seeking life insurancecritical illness insurance or income protection insuranceget in touch with us today.

If you work for a financial services firm, then you can rest assured that your clients will be in safe hands if you introduce them to Moneysworth, so again, please contact us to find out more about what we can offer.

Trade association the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) has announced that it has renewed its Agreement on Access to Protection Insurance for a further three years. Since the agreement came into force in 2020, BIBA estimates that it has helped 30,000 people to access suitable protection cover.

39 insurers, brokers and professional bodies have signed the agreement and Moneysworth is delighted to be one of those signatories.

The Agreement makes reference to an important provision of the Equality Act 2010. While the Act allows providers to refuse to cover people with health conditions, in certain circumstances, the Agreement acknowledges the important point that insurers must make a “reasonable decision, based on reliable evidence, to refuse cover or charge a high premium to an applicant with a pre-existing medical condition.” This means that there should not be a blanket refusal to cover someone simply because they mention a particular health condition – the insurer should instead conduct a thorough assessment of the extent to which that health condition represents an increased risk.

Moneysworth specialises in assisting clients with many different mental and physical health conditions to find suitable protection insurance.

Moneysworth is also looking forward to two separate awards ceremonies later this year, where we have been shortlisted for five prizes. The COVER Magazine categories we are shortlisted for are: Outstanding Client Engagement, Outstanding Specialist Intermediary and Small Intermediary of the Year. The Health Protection awards we are shortlisted for are: Best Small Protection Advice Firm and Best Individual Protection Advice Firm.

We’ll be heading to London this week for the prestigious Health Insurance Intermediary Awards where we’re finalists in two categories.

We’ve made the shortlist in the following categories:

  • Best Intermediary for High Net Worth Clients
  • Best Protection Intermediary

As an intermediary specialising in helping those who may be considered high risk for insurance, we’re delighted to feature in these shortlists against some great competition.

The awards will be taking place at London’s Grosvenor House on Thursday 15th October 2015 with over 900 industry professionals and experts expected to be there.

Wish us luck!
